Joffrey Ballet Collaboration studio/ CVPA master classes

In 2018, CVPA was also honored to be named as a collaboration
studio with Joffrey Ballet. CVPA in collaboration with Joffrey Ballet brought
Joffrey master teachers in for our students to study with every six weeks
during Joffrey’s non-audition season. We enjoyed amazing tap, jazz,
contemporary and ballet classes with Lisa Donmall-Reeves, Anh Dillon and
Yusha Sorzano. We are excited to continue bringing in master teachers
thru our Joffrey collaboration in 2019. What an amazing opportunity this is
for our dancers.
Dance education is first and foremost at CVPA. We are constantly
striving to give our students opportunities to broaden their horizons and
expand their knowledge of dance by bringing in master teachers from all
over the country. In 2018, in addition to our Joffrey Master classes, our
students had the opportunity to take master classes with ballet great,
Francisco Gella; tap classes with tap master, Mark Goodman;
contemporary classes with Eve Mason; a Musicality Workshop with
Mariana Sobral and a Dance in College Seminar with Leyla Boissonnade. It
is exciting for our dancers to have the opportunity to study with these
industry specialists without leaving Castro Valley.
